Editor's Notes: Even though this postcard lists the Caswell Baptist Assembly as being located in Southport, the Caswell Baptist Assembly is actually located on the Eastern tip of Oak Island. The Caswell Baptist Assembly, now known as the NC Baptist Assembly, occupies the site of the former Civil War Fort known as Fort Caswell. The Baptist State Convention purchased the property in 1949 and still occupies the property today.
