Alma Irene Simmons
Shore of Oak Island, formerly of Charlotte, died
Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Dosher Nursing Center in
Southport.
Mrs. Shore was
born in Surry County, North Carolina, daughter of the
late Charles Richard Simmons and Eunice Martin Simmons.
She worked as an inspector for a hosiery mill for many
years.
Survivors include three sons Sam and Charles Shore of
Oak Island and Roger Shore of Houston, Texas; five
grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and seven
great great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday,
January 11, 2013 at Forest Lawn Cemetery West, 4601
Freedom Drive, Charlotte, North Carolina.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on
Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Peacock-Newnam & White
Funeral and Cremation Service, Southport.
