Russell A. Caruana -
Bolivia
Russell A. Caruana,
80, of Bolivia, beloved husband of Marianne Caruana,
passed away on Monday, December 10, 2012 at Brunswick
Novant Medical Center.
Russ was Senior Vice-President of Finance at The
Methodist Hospital in New York. He was active in the
local and national levels of the Healthcare Financial
Management Association and was president of The
Metropolitan NY Chapter HFMA 1969-70. He was the author
of “Organizing a Healthcare Financial Services
Division”. Russ held an MBA from New York University in
1960 and an accounting degree from Long Island
University.
Surviving is his wife Marianne Caruana; a son Vincent D.
Caruana, M.D. and wife Tina of New Hampshire; two
daughters Christine Brando and Carol Verrastro and
husband Thomas, all of New Jersey; two sisters Maria
Sabella and husband John, and Grace Alba and husband
Bill; and seven grandchildren, Brittney Brando, Alyssa
Caruana, Amanda Brando, Nicole Brando, Steven Verrastro,
Russell Caruana, and Lauren Verrastro.
The funeral mass will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday,
January 8, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with
Reverend Trent Watts officiating. Inurnment will be in
the church columbarium and a reception will be held
following the service at the church.
