Roger M. Senechal -
Oak Island
Roger M. Senechal,
89 of Oak Island passed away on Sunday, November 11,
2012.
Mr. Senechal was
born June 21, 1923 in Quebec, Canada the son of the late
Sylvio and Alma Senechal. He is preceded in death by his
late wife Raymonde Senechal. Mr. Senechal moved to the
United States in the 50’s and worked for Ford Motor
Company as a Dye Cast Tool Maker for 30 years until his
retirement. During his lifetime he enjoyed hunting and
fishing. After retirement he best enjoyed becoming a
Boat Captain and charting his own fishing boat for many
years. He was also instrumental in helping many others
in the community with getting their Captains license. He
was known to make his own fishing lures and sharing them
with fellow fisherman. Mr. Senechal was a member of the
Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Southport
Surviving is his only daughter Sylvaine“ Sly” Senechal
of Little River, South Carolina. We would like to thank
all the neighbors, friends and wonderful in-home
companions that were there for Roger in his later years.
The funeral mass will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday,
November 30, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in
Southport.
