Kenneth Leonard Kohr - Southport

Mr. Kenneth Leonard Kohr age 70 of Southport died July 2, 2012.

Mr. Kohr was born in St. Louis, Missouri on February 13, 1942 and was the son of the late Leonard and Ann Wild Kohr. Kenneth was employed with Commonwealth Edison of Chicago as a project manager prior to his retirement. Kenneth loved to travel. He and his wife Patti traveled throughout the world especially Maui where they had a second home. He had a passion for the water and always found himself to be near or on the water as much as possible. He was also an avid golfer and a passionate “Tarheel” basketball fan.

He is survived by his wife, Patti; two sons, Matthew Kenneth Kohr and wife Melanie of Raleigh, Daniel Kevin Kohr of Atlanta, GA.; five grandchildren, Ashlee, Nichole, Hayden, Lauren, Luke; two great grandchildren, Henry and Kayden; a sister, JoAnn Smith and husband Peter of Naples, Fl.

Funeral services will be Friday July 6, 2012 at 4pm at Peacock-Newnam & White Funeral Service Chapel, 1411 N. Howe Street, Southport, NC with Father Doug Lawson officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 at the funeral home prior to the service.
