Josephine Skehan - Oak Island

Mrs. Josephine Catherine Skehan, 73 of Oak Island, died Thursday, May 24, 2012 at her home.

Mrs. Skehan was born February 27, 1939 in London, England, daughter of the late Roderick Grant and Marie Bohanna Grant. Mrs. Skehan was the best wife, mother, and grandmother anyone could ever ask for. She was always a giver to her family. She was preceded in death by one son, Jay Patrick Skehan, two sisters, Betty Vogel and Victoria “Bunny” Baker.

Survivors include one son, David Gerard Skehan and wife Tracy of Southport; one daughter, Lynda Grant Skehan and fiance’ Gene Stebbins of Boiling Spring Lakes; one grandson, Riley Grant Halbert, and a broter Peter Grant of London, England.

A celebration of life will be held at the family home, 42 Yaupon Way, Oak Island, NC from 1:00 to 7:00 pm on Saturday, June 2, 2012.
