Johann Bezold - Oak
Island
Johann Bezold, age
79, of Oak Island died Friday, January 13, 2012 at his
residence.
Mr. Bezold was born in Germany on October 29, 1932, son
of the late Nicholas Bezold and Margarete Hollfelder
Bezold. He was an avid gardener, loved walking on the
beach and was a skilled wood worker. He was a veteran of
the United States Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Pamela Bezold of Oak Island;
one son, John Bezold and wife Julie of Tennessee; one
daughter, Greta Balster and husband Kevin of Illinois;
one sister, Gelinde Hofmann of Germany; five
grandchildren, Morgan and Heather Balster, Nicholas,
Olivia and Mara Bezold.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 15th
from 2-3 pm at Peacock-Newnam & White Funeral Service
Chapel in Southport.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the
American Cancer Society, 930 Wellness Drive #B,
Greenville, NC 27834.
