Geneva
Hassay, of Southport, NC was welcomed to Heaven by our
Lord’s embrace on Oct. 12, 2012, to have eternal life
along side of her Mother and Father.
She was born on
May 9, 1934 in Myra, Kentucky to the late Andrew and
Molly Elkins. She was a devoted wife, Mother,
Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. She enjoyed working
in the flower garden and taking walks on the beach with
her husband but above all she had deep love for her
family. She will truly be missed by her loving family
and friends.
She was preceded
in death by her parents Andrew and Molly Elkins and
brother Ermil Elkins. She is survived by her husband
Raymond Hassay, daughters; Rhonda Campbell (Dennis),
Debra Clay (J.D.), Jennifer Rukovena (Ron) and step
daughter Alisa Hassay, grandchildren; Shawn (Maranda),
Vanessa, Tiffany, Brittany, Cody, Shelby and Kayle,
great grandchildren; Arilyn, Addison, Owen, and Alexa,
brothers; Oral Elkins (Violet), Harold Elkins (Scarlet)
and Bill Elkins (Patty), sisters; Phyllis Litavetz
(Bob), Patty Maynard and Betty Elkins-Rice (Mel).
A small service
was held at Peacock-Newnan &White Funeral and Cremation
Service on Oct. 16, 2012 in Southport, North Carolina.
To Miss Ginny as
she was known by, we say good-bye you will be greatly
missed. We love you.
