Gene A. Lane - Boiling Spring Lakes

Gene A. Lane, 57, of Boiling Spring Lakes died Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at his residence.

Mr. Lane was born in Margaretville, New York, son of June Myra Ferguson Lane and the late Gene Ernest Lane. He was born and raised in the Catskill Mountains of New York. Mr. Lane attended and graduated from Margaretville Central High School, and went on to attend SUNY-Delhi where he earned an electrician certificate. He moved to Boiling Spring Lakes in 1999. Mr. Lane loved to fish, hunt, play paintball, and ride motorcycles. He also enjoyed going to Hot Rod shows, and to pinstripe cars. Mr. Lane was a “jack of all trades” and could do anything. But, his biggest love was his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Ginger Lane of Boiling Spring Lakes; one son Matthew Lane and wife Silena of Boiling Spring Lakes; two grandchildren Garrett Evan Lane and Gabriel Gene Lane; a very special young lady Heather Kelly Livermore of New York; his mother June Lane of Bainbridge, New York; three brothers Richard Lane, Wayne Lane, and Edward Lane all of New York.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Southport.
