- Southport, NC - The Southport Historical Society
will host the "Heroes of '76" Chapter of the
National Sojourners, Inc. on Thursday, November 17
at the Southport Community Building.
The group will present a flag-building program in
which the history of the American flag will be
illustrated. The members will be in colonial period
dress and will include information about flag
etiquette in their presentation.
The meeting will begin with a pot luck supper at
6:30pm. Members and the public are invited to bring
a dish to share. The program will begin at 7:30pm.
The business portion of the meeting will discuss
recommendations for changes in the Society's
constitution as well as nominees for the 2012
officers and board members.
