Wine Society Announces Winery Tour

Beach Chapter Winery Tour November 3-4, 2011

the Ocean Isle Beach Chapter of the American Wine
Society announced plans for its upcoming winery
tour.
"The Ocean Isle Beach Chapter will sponsor its first
ever wine tour of North Carolina wineries in
November. The wine tour will visit wineries in the
Yadkin Valley and Piedmont Appellations," said Stan
Barwikowski, Chapter Chair. "This will be an
excellent opportunity for area wine lovers to
experience fine North Carolina wines first hand,"
Barwikowski continued.
Participants on the tour will visit 10 state
wineries and in several cases be given a winery tour
and tasting by a local winemaker. All selected
wineries offer wines made from vinifera or
French-American hybrids. The winery tour will be on
November 3-4, 2011, and will be limited to 40
participants. Everyone is welcome.
The cost of this tour is $210 per person based on
double occupancy. All reservations must be made by
