26, 2011 - Ocean Isle Beach, NC - Paws-Ability's
First Annual Bicycle Poker Run, scheduled for
Saturday, October 29, will benefit the animal
shelters and rescue groups of Brunswick County.
Participants do not need to know how to play poker.
There will be great prizes for the winning hand and
the worst hand. There is no skill to this poker
game, only fun.
Registration for the event will begin at 1:00 p.m.
at the Ocean Isle Inn on Ocean Isle Beach.
Participants will be directed to four locations on
the island to draw a card for their poker hand.
Those who are unable to ride a bicycle may
participate in street legal golf carts. The event
will end with a poolside party at the Ocean Isle
Inn. The party will include hot dogs, beer and soft
drinks as well as a silent auction. The registration
fee is $25 per rider. Those who wish to attend the
party without participating in the Poker Run may do
so for $15.
Raffle tickets for a 16 Gigabyte iPad 2 Wi-Fi model
will be sold in advance, as well as during the Poker
Run event.

Ocean Isle Beach is a great place for a bike ride.
This event will draw many to the island for a fun
event. Any participating business may offer specials
to the bicycle riders to encourage them to stop in
for a snack or cold beverage.
Sponsorship for this event is offered at $200.
Supporting sponsors will be listed on our website,
on all printed material including posters and
flyers, on t-shirts and in newspaper ads.
Sponsorship includes the registration fee for one
bicycle rider. Silent auction and raffle items are
