Barbara Bennett is a retired
restaurant designer. Having studied at Pullen Arts Center in
Raleigh, she set up a silversmith studio here in Boiling Spring
Lakes. New items are designed daily and rarely are designs
duplicated. Working in silver, brass and copper the possibilities
are endless. Gold items may be commissioned. Work in silver, copper
and brass are shown at the Brunswick County Senior Resources Center
in Southport.Barbara
Bennett has created two lines of jewelry and can be found, now, at
Howe Outrageous Art Gallery, 307 N. Howe Street in Southport.
The new lines are Soignee' and
Mira. Mira is an Irish word meaning sea. This collection is full of
sea creatures. Soignee' means elegant and this collection is more
classic and timeless design.
Announcing Beginning Silver
Smith Classes
Classes starting October 2, 2012 at the Brunswick County Senior
Resource Center on Howe Street in Southport. Day class from 1-2:30
and an evening class from 6-8:30. Classes are $80 for four weeks
plus a makeup week. Materials can be supplied or purchased by each
student. Materials approximately $30. All tools supplied. Must
registered by September 28th. Register at the senior center or call
