Port
City Java announces “No Royalty”
Promotion for Potential Franchisees
Press
Release
March 23, 2009 –
Southport, North Carolina
(NC) - Port City Java has launched a “No Royalty” promotion to
stimulate franchise investment throughout the Carolinas. According
to the promotion, anyone who enters a franchise agreement with Port
City Java in 2009 will pay no royalties until 2011.
“Port City Java’s main
concentration is franchise expansion in North and South Carolina,
primarily targeting Raleigh through 2010,” said Chief Executive
Officer, Steve Schnitzler. “We have experienced tremendous market
penetration in Wilmington, where 16 company and franchise locations
are currently in operation. We hope to achieve the same success in
Raleigh, a market we feel offers the best opportunity for
development.”
The promotion will help new
franchisees minimize investment and cash flow needs during the
economic downturn. According to Schnitzler, “There are many
multi-unit operators who have capitalized on their current concept
and are now seeking a new way to grow and offer opportunities to
their own management team.”
“The university franchise
model we have developed with North Carolina State University has
been extremely successful, “ said Schnitzler. “We have achieved
solid brand recognition there, with four campus locations and two
under construction. More than 40,000 students and faculty are
already sold on the brand.”
Established in March 1995 in
Wilmington, N.C., Port City Java is dedicated to roasting and
serving the finest coffee and espresso in a warm and inviting
atmosphere. The company has grown to include more than 40 cafes and
