Mark Sanders Stephens

Mark Sanders
Stephens, 30, of Oak Island, passed away on Tuesday,
November 27, 2012 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center
in Wilmington.
Mark was born September 8, 1982 in Wilmington, son of
William Harvey Stephens and June Tolley Stephens. He
attended First Baptist Church of Oak Island. Mark was
loved by everyone and had many friends. He loved
fishing, hunting, and playing video games. Mark
graduated from South Brunswick High School in 2000. He
was loved and will be greatly missed by his mother and
father, brothers and sister, and all who knew and loved
him. He was preceded in death by his maternal
grandparents John McDonald Tolley and Ruby Tolley; and
his paternal grandfather Harvey Stephens.
Surviving are his parents William Harvey Stephens and
June Tolley Stephens of Oak Island; paternal grandmother
Ruth Stephens of Salisbury; two brothers Terry Tolley
and wife Elinda of Havelock and Michael Thad Stephens of
Oak Island; one sister Stephanie Jill Stephens of Oak
Island; four nieces Alyssa Tolley, Alexis Stephens, Sara
Stephens, and Mandy Stephens; one nephew Tanner Tolley;
two aunts Lynn Stephens and husband Ronnie of Charlotte
and Betty London of Danville, Virginia; one uncle Robert
Wilhelm and wife Glenda of Salisbury.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Friday, November 30,
2012 at First Baptist Church of Oak Island with Reverend
Charlie Carter and Reverend Rick Ables officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Peacock-Newnam & White
Funeral and Cremation Service in Southport.
