Joseph John “Joey”
Staradumsky Jr., age 53, of Winnabow died Saturday,
September 1, 2012.
Mr. Staradumsky was born in Ft. Jackson, South Carolina
on July 13, 1959, son of the late Joseph John
Staradumsky and Frances Langley Farrow. He was a member
Lebanon Baptist Church in Winnabow. Mr. Staradumsky
worked for 23 years at Capitol Ford of Wilmington and
was the assistant trainer for South Brunswick High
School. Mr. Staradumsky was a member of Beach House
Harley Davidson HOG chapter, and was a certified coach
and Lifetime member of the Dixie Youth Baseball League.
He was also a member of the Christian Motorcycle
Association and an ordained deacon. Mr. Staradumsky was
preceded in death by his father, mother, step-father
James H. Farrow, a brother James “Jimmy” Staradumsky,
and his father-in-law Elbert Sullivan.
Survivors include his wife Kara Sullivan Staradumsky of
the home; two sons, Joseph Chadwick Staradumsky and John
Andrew Staradumsky, both of the home; mother-in-law Sue
Sullivan of Winnabow; sisters-in-law, Deborah Senekel
and husband Andre of South Africa, Sarah Southerland and
husband Randy of Penderlea, and Lisa Sullivan of Rocky
Point; two nieces, Britton Piner and Kyleigh Piner; one
nephew, Matthew Estep; a special grandmother, Sally
Garland, a special aunt Linda Vallender, and a great
niece Kynleigh Elizabeth.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday,
September 5, 2012 at Peacock-Newnam & White Funeral
Service Chapel with Dr. Billy Hutchinson, Reverend Steve
Hinton, Reverend Charles Pittman, and Reverend Greg
Rowan. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday
at the funeral home. A private graveside service will be
held at New Hope Presbyterian Church.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Graham, Lee Fowler,
Tony Faircloth, Brian Batts, Randy Southerland, John
North, and Wayne Franklin.
