Cynthia Kaye
“Cindy” Harrington, age 55, of Southport died Wednesday,
June 20, 2012 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCare
Center in Wilmington.
Cindy was born in New Hanover County on May 19, 1957,
daughter of the late Jacob and Rebecca Ruth Lanier
Harrington. She grew up in Southport and graduated from
South Brunswick High School. Cindy was very active in
Ocean View United Methodist Church and she dearly loved
her granddaughter.
Survivors include one daughter, Rebecca Braswell of
Southport; two brothers, Wayne Harrington and wife
Brenda of Sanford and Roger Harrington and wife Mary Dee
of Southport; one sister Lynn Matthews and husband Dwan
of Southport; former husband, James Wesley Braswell of
Southport; two nieces, Tricia Harrington Huggins and
Chris Stevens; two nephews, Brandon Matthews and Rhett
Harrington; and one granddaughter Rilynn Braswell.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday, June 22, 2012
at Peacock-Newnam & White Funeral Home Chapel in
Southport with Reverend Anthony Clemmons and Bradley
Huggins officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00pm at
the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lower Cape
Fear Hospice and LifeCare Center, 1414 Physicians Drive,
Wilmington, North Carolina 28401.
