Shelia Oneida
Butterworth Boyd, 44 of Southport, died Wednesday, July
13, 2011 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in
Wilmington.
Sheila was born
December 21, 1966 in Marietta, GA the daughter of Louis
Orlando Butterworth and Sylvia Hewett Butterworth.
Sheila was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church
and was a financial analyst for New Hanover County. She
loved the ocean, palm trees, and playing pool. Ms. Boyd
was preceded in death by a half brother, Crockett
Butterworth and a half sister, Kylee Butterworth.
Surviving her daughter Kaitlyn Leigh Boyd of the home;
her mother Sylvia Butterworth of Southport; her father
Louis Butterworth of Laurens, SC; a sister Rebekah
Butterworth Cline and husband David of Holly Springs;
the love of her life James “Buddy” Sellers of Boiling
Spring Lakes; three half-brothers Michael Butterworth,
Robert Butterworth, and Charlie Butterworth; two
half-sisters Debra Cutler and Diana Rich, all of
Georgia; two nephews, Raleigh Cline and David Cline; one
niece Regan Cline; countless other family, friends and
coworkers who loved her dearly; and her cat Tommy.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm
Friday at Peacock – Newnam & White Funeral Service in
Southport. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on
Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Trinity United Methodist
Church with Reverend Jeff Roberts, Reverend Garrett
Albertson, and Reverend Michelle Sabin officiating.
