Mrs. Magdalene
Carter Rowland age 92 of Sunset Beach died Friday
December 2, 2011 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center,
Whiteville.
Mrs. Rowland was born in Brunswick County on July 29,
1919 and was the daughter of the late William and Ella
Ward Carter. She was wife of the late Fred Rowland and
was also preceded in death by a daughter, Roma Jane
Sweatt. She was a member of Bethel Primitive Baptist
Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Rhetta Lynch of
Calabash, Sondra Rowland of Ft. Mill, SC; 4
grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11am Thursday December 8, 2011
at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church with Elder James
Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the church
cemetery.
The family will receive friends following the service at
the church.
