Katie Theresa Cox Price - Delaware

Katie Theresa Cox Price, 89, of Dover, Delaware went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Cadia Nursing and Rehabilitation in Dover, Delaware.

Katie was born on October 8, 1921 in Southport, North Carolina, the daughter of Marcellus Cox and Katie Piver. Katie was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Kimball Price of Southport, her brothers Robert, Latney, Buddy, Jimmy, Joe and her sisters Margaret, Frances and Dot.

Surviving Katie are her brother, Frank Cox, and her eight children – sons Warren (Linda), Richard (Marie), Danny, Tom (Joanne), Mike (Sande) and daughters Ellen Heinbach (Jack), Linda Shipman (Clyde), Betsy Lawrence (Jeff), and 34 grand and 25 great grand children.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 24 at Faith Community Church in Camden, where friends may gather 30 minutes before the service. Reverends Kenneth Brown and Ron David will be officiating. The graveside committal service will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, September 26 at Bethel Church Cemetery, Southport, North Carolina. The family would like to thank the Cadia staff for their loving care and kindness.

Flowers may be sent for the memorial service to Faith Community Church, 2240 S. DuPont Highway, Camden, DE.
