Henry S. Alexander Sr. - Bolivia

Henry S. Alexander Sr., 81 of Bolivia, died August 29, 2011 at Universal Health Care in Bolivia.

Mr. Alexander was born January 18, 1930 in Hamlet, son of the late O.U. Alexander and Rosa Cagle Alexander. He was a veteran of the US Air Force having served in the Korean Conflict. Mr. Alexander worked for 30 years with Southern Bell in Charlotte. Upon his retirement in 1985 he and his wife moved to Sunset Harbor. Mr. Alexander was a member of First Baptist Church of Sunset Harbor, an active Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and Trustee. He was also a 3rd degree Mason and member of the Shallotte Lodge 727. Mr. Alexander was preceded in death by his daughter Gail Alexander who died in 2002.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Lois Kimrey Alexander; two sons, Henry S. Alexander Jr. and wife Sandy of Summerville, SC, and John S. Alexander of Mt. Holly; three grandchildren, Christina Alexander, Marcus Alexander, and Jessica Alexander; and a great-grandchild McKenzie Tadlock.

The memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Sunset Harbor with Reverend Wayne Tuttle officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at the church.
