Mr.
Duane Rudolph Klatt, 68 of Kure Beach,
died Monday, July 11, 2011 at Dosher
Memorial Hospital in Southport. Mr.
Klatt was born October 3, 1942 in
Fairchild, WI the son of Walter Klatt
and Ethel Thur Klatt. Mr. Klatt grew up
in Fairchild, WI where he graduated from
Fairchild High School where he played on
the basketball team. He married his high
school sweetheart Cheryl Martin Klatt,
who passed away in 1997. Mr. Klatt was a
retired semi-truck salesman. He retired
to Kure Beach five years ago. He enjoyed
golf, the beach, cruises, dining with
friends, and the Green Bay Packers. Mr.
Klatt was preceded in death by his wife,
father, and two brothers, Leonard Klatt
and Donald Klatt.Surviving are his mother, Ethel Klatt of Altoona, WI; two daughters, Pamela Klatt of Tomah, WI and Shawn Klatt of Kure Beach, NC; an aunt Darlene Hollister; a special friend Ginny Clark of Southport; family friends, Steven and Helen Girard and Ron and Pat Zank; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and his dog K.C.
A memorial service will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Altoona, WI at a later date.
