Grits, Sand and Southern Landscapes Press Release September 20, 2008 – Southport, North Carolina (NC) - The North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport invites you to hear Dr. Bruce Williams speak on "Grits, Sand and Southern Landscapes". Williams who is known as "the Downeast Gardener" hosts the TV show "Grow Your Own with Dr. Bruce" seen on Channel 5 (WRAL) at 8 a.m. on Sundays. Lowe’s Home Improvement sponsors the event. The program will be held on Tuesday, October 21 at 7 p.m. at the Southport Community Building. There is no charge. Reservations are required. For reservations call 457-0003.
