Silver Coast Winery Wins 3 More Medals

June 11, 2008 – Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina (NC) - Silver Coast Winery won three medals in the 32nd International Eastern Wine Competition against over 2,200 entries. Their new wines, Calabash White and Calabash Red, just released to the public at the end of February, have each received a bronze medal. “The Calabash wines are exciting because they are great wines at a great price, something you can put on your table every night and not break the bank” says Winery owner and manager, Maryann Charlap-Azzato, “we are excited that they are gaining national acclaim.” The Winery has also won a bronze medal for their 2005 North Carolina Chardonnay. All three of these award-winning wines and more, can be tasted at the winery during a wine tasting.

The 32nd International Eastern Wine Competition had entries from 38 states, three Canadian provinces, and 13 countries. Silver Coast Winery is doing its part to represent the North Carolina Wine Industry in the International arena and helping North Carolina become known as a leading wine producer in the country and around the world.

Silver Coast Winery is a full winemaking facility housing an eclectic art gallery, unique gift shops, beautiful picnic grounds, and monthly festivals.
