Will Sing 4 A Cure Tour Comes To Southport by Will Sing 4 A Cure Paul Black, singer/songwriter from nearby Bolivia, North Carolina, will be performing at Island Brews Coffee and Sandwich shop on Howe Street. His “Will Sing 4 A Cure” tour is an effort to raise awareness and funding for pediatric cancer research and treatment. 100% of the net proceeds of the contributions raised benefit pediatric cancer patients at Duke University Medical Center, The Make A Wish Foundation, and community church organizations. Paul was committed to the effort when his youngest child, Nicholas, was diagnosed with a rare cancer called Neuroblastoma in November 2003. Nicholas was only 2 ˝ at the time. In June 2004 Nicholas was brought into remission and Paul dedicated his music career to helping stop this dreaded disease and to help provide the every-day needs of children receiving in-hospital chemotherapy and treatment.
