5th Annual Oak Island Surf-Off

The contest welcomes surfers and body-board riders of
all ages and skill levels, from 8 years of age and older,
with divisions for men, women, boys and girls. Division
winners will be awarded fantastic prizes and keepsake
trophies. The annual raffle is always a popular event.

In partnership with Church World Service and organized
locally by the Southport-Oak Island Interchurch Fellowship,
the SOIICF CROP Hunger Walk draws over 200 walkers and since
1984 has raised over $183,000 to help stop hunger and
poverty here in our community and around the world, through
self-help initiatives. 25% of funds raised each year are
used by SOIICF for local emergency human needs in our
community. CROP Hunger Walks continue to play a big role in
the US Gulf Coast rebuilding and in Central America. Support
